Music: Loons in the Monastery

Picture
'Loons' is an 'Avant-Bizarro' Acoustic/Electric Duo, composed of Samuel Claiborne, Guitar, Viola, Percussion, Voice, Nose Flute, Penny Whistle, assorted Toy and Home-Made instruments, and Effects and Jennifer Lowman, Synthesizer. Humor, serious musicianship, and wild improvisation alchemically combine into 'Music as Drug', a psychedelic mix of heady Space/Trance music for the New Age.

Their first Album, 27th Century Liturgical Chants of Various Pan-Galactic Religions, Vol II, is out of print. Their second CD, Stranger Than Truth was widely played throughout North America on college and public radio stations, and world-wide, with special interest in France, the Benelux countries, Eastern Europe, and China. Their most recent album, Belief: Live @ Makor + 2 More was also well-received in Space Music/Trance/New Age circles.

Stranger Than Truth is available on Itunes, and in both MP3 and CD form at Amazon.com and CD Baby.
Belief CD is currently backordered on Sonotrope Recordings but will be available, at least in MP3 form, very soon.
